Erik Javellana
FOUNDER
Erik founded Pingkas Capital to invest the same way he has operated for more than 20 years: with his hands on the work. He has cared for large, complex residential portfolios in New York City, a few thousand units from pre-war walk-ups to luxury high-rises, leading portfolio teams of more than 100 people and guiding multi-million-dollar capital improvement programs to profitable exits.
Today he leads the firm's value-add multifamily and senior housing strategy, including the Pingkas Fund, which he manages alongside Erik M. Carey, and is guiding the firm's expansion into sustainable infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
Erik M. Carey
Strategic Advisor
Erik M. Carey brings together three decades of institutional capital management and a lifetime of hands-on real estate ownership. He began by advising fiduciary investment boards, deepened that work at Merrill Lynch, and in 1995 founded Carey Investment Advisors to serve institutions, foundations, and family offices. As founder of ZANE Development Company, he acquires, develops, and manages commercial real estate, including hundreds of multifamily units across Virginia and Texas.
At Pingkas Capital he co-manages the Pingkas Fund alongside founder Erik Javellana, pairing fiduciary discipline on the capital side with an owner's judgment on the asset side.
